Minutes February 17, 2008 Meeting

 

The annual LIA Rod & Reel Club Meeting was held at the Club House on February 17.

12 members were present.

 

The President Paul Hurckes called the meeting to order at 2:15P.

 

PRESIDENTS REPORT:  There were 3 Saturday and 5 Thursday night tournaments in 2007.  The average attendance for Saturday was 17. The average for Thursday night was 10.

 

A kidıs tournament was held in August with approximately 25 participating.  The tournament was organized by Red Trivett and he was assisted by several club members.

The club donated $150 for prizes.  Several club members also donated prizes.

 

2 benches will built and donated to LIA at the boat ramp by Dave Hildenbrand.  Dave also donated a used gas grill for the Boat ramp area.

 

Bill Willis and Terry Riggins donated materials and placed 3 fish habitats in the lake.

 

Dave Hildenbrand built a handsome rolling rod rack which was donated to the 2007 Club champion (Paul Hurckes).  The club also gave Paul a $50 gift certificate from Bass

Pro.

 

Treasures Report.  Mike Johnson:  February 17, 2008 balance $755.58.

 

Secretaryıs Report:  Bill Willis.  RULE CHANGES FOR 2008

 

1.  SATURDAY ENTRY FEE IS $15 FOR CLUB MEMBERS; $20 FOR NON CLUB MEMBERS.  PAY OUT 10% OF THE TOTAL TO THE CLUB TREASURE. $5 BASS POOL-WINNER TAKES ALL.

1st Place 50%

2nd Place 25%

3rd Place 15%

 

2. THURSDAY NIGHT ENTRY FEE REMAINS AT $5 WITH A MINIMUM LENGTH OF 18ı.  ONE FISH LIMIT.  WINNER TAKES ALL.  IF NO WINNERPOT GOES TO CLUB TREASURE.

CLUB MEMBERS LAKE CLEAN UP DAY MAY 17 MEET AT 10A AT THE BOAT RAMP FOR YOUR ASSIGNMENT.

 

Club Officers for 2008:  There were no nominations from the floor for club officers. Paul Hurckes, Mike Johnson, Bill Willis agreed to remain in office.  Dave Hildenbrand will be tournament coordinator

 

2008 Club Project for LIA.  The club will purchase a tulip tree and memorial stone to be placed at the Boat Ramp in memory of Bill Santefort who passed away.

 

Club fund raiser: Dave Hildenbrand will build and donate a clock which will be raffled off.  Tickets are $5 each and will be given out at first tournament.  Drawing will be after the last tournament in September.
