Out of the 5 members who were turned over to our LIA lawyers for legal action due to non-payment, 2 have requested turning over ownership of their lots to LIA in place of back monies owed.
1 of the 5 have sent 4 checks to be cashed one each month to bring their account current.
1 of the 5 homes, which is a HUD home has possibly been sold, so LIA hopes to recoup some of the money due on that home.
Webster would like to purchase a fuel tank for on-road diesel fuel. The cost would be approximately $700.00. Hildenbrand made a motion, seconded by Garbaciak to purchase a fuel tank for on-road diesel fuel, not to exceed $800.00. Motion carried.
Webster asked to substitute a laser level for the trench box on the back hoe. The finance committee is suggesting renting the laser level when needed since the trench box is a safety issue, could be used for several different kinds of jobs, and LIA would not have to hire a contractor to do the digging. The Board took the recommendation of the Finance Committee.
Hildenbrand suggested that LIA require all contractors to have a liability insurance certificate on file in the office.

FACILITIES ENGINEER (Submitted by Webster, read by Garbaciak)
Spreading of chips is ongoing in warm weather to help with bleeding of tar.
Grays Material Service is scheduled for after 8/17/08 to do the proposed work (i.e. seal coating, etc.)
Work on Iroquois Trail ditch is ongoing as time permits. This includes installing pipes and telephone poles to act as barrier to prevent the fill from moving.
Grading and seeding has been completed on previous water/wastewater repairs.
Dredging was done along the dock at the fishing pond to allow for boat access.
Trash cans were purchased, anchored and chained at the park and the beach.
The sink hole at the park was dug up and repaired. There was a broken field tile.
The grill shelter was primed and painted at the park.
Beach clubhouse and picnic tables were pressure-washed.
Chlorine tanks at water/wastewater plant have been pumped down and cleaned out to allow
better effluent quality.
Work was done on several lift stations. The float pumps are really starting to show age and wear.
New controls for the wet well dry pit are scheduled for after 8/17/08 (parts shipped 8/8).
There was a lot of work and call-outs this month on the dry pit. Metropolitan readjusted controls in well. Lead pump is jammed and cannot be removed because of a seized gate valve in front of it. Webster is looking for a mechanical contractor to remove and replace gate valve.
Iverson is checking into options for call-up alarms for the lift stations.
Due to a dead short in existing underground wiring, a new conduit and power line were run to provide the water plant building with room lights.

SHORELINE COMMITTEE
Cursory inspection shows that Balk Construction has just about completed the LIA shoreline property work. It appears that all but 3 fishing pond lots have been taken care of. One extension request was called in yesterday and denied. The other 2 have not done any work. All the lots on the main lake except for about 4 appear to be completed or in process at this time. Out of 55 letters sent, all but 6 or 7 have complied.
ROD AND REEL CLUB
The fishing committee has asked the Board to reconsider the decision to put grass carp in the fishing pond. Willis advised the committee that they can present their concerns at the next LIA Board meeting.
Rodriquez thanked the fishing committee for the excellent job on the youth fishing tournament this past month. Also thanked were the womenýs club and individuals who donated funds to make the event so successful. Willis gave a summary of the event which everyone agreed was highly successful and well-enjoyed.
